Born and raised in Fresno, CA, Renée is the daughter of two trial attorneys who met one summer in Sacramento while studying for the Bar exam at McGeorge School of Law. Growing up in a household with two attorneys, she became accustomed at an early age to attending Bar functions and networking events with her parents. She was taught early on about the importance of a good handshake.
During her last semester at San Francisco State, she completed an internship at the Oakland-based legal non-profit, Justice Now, where she and her fellow interns advocated for individuals’ rights inside the prison system. During her time at Justice Now, her passion for advocating for others flourished and she decided law school was the next best step in her career path. After graduating from SFSU, she took a legal secretary position at a Folsom-based civil litigation law firm where she planned to study for the LSAT with sights of being admitted to McGeorge.
In 2013, an opportunity in the litigation support industry presented itself back in her hometown of Fresno. Six years later, Renée has a blossoming career in the San Joaquin Valley. She cares deeply for her community and the people she has the opportunity to work with.
When Renée isn’t out in the field with clients, she can be found at home with her “Rees boys” (as she affectionately calls her husband and son) or at the gym lifting heavy things. She loves reading World War II historical fiction, listening to music, and drinking wine. She is heavily involved in her community and has participated in various philanthropic organizations such as Next Generation Philanthropy and the Community Food Bank. Renée is a member of La Feliz Guild, one of the fifteen guilds in the Valley that fundraises for Valley Children’s Hospital. She is also on the Red Heart Ball committee for the American Heart Association. In 2017, she was recognized as one of Fresno’s Top 40 Under 40 Business Professionals.
